Active Kill Disk

Kill disk running for 15 hours, same 7 lines of data appear in groups with last word being "frozen" while numerical sequences on left advance, How to stop program, should it be exited? Can't find anything anywhere relating to this situation. 160G WD hd, booted from UBCD. DBAN didn't recognize a drive to wipe.

The drive has gone belly up - - can't be written to any more.
Get some goggles on, drill a few holes into it, then bin it.
