hey,
i am using a psu with active power factor correction(corsair cx600 v2),
i am using it with a cheap ups with AVR ,today i plugged up the ups to a accurate multimeter, to check wheter the AVR (automatic voltage regulation) was really doing its job.
ac power supply in our area is 240v @50hz, but it does fluctuate till 245v sometimes, but when this happens the AVR does something i did not expect
it steppes down the voltage to 210v thinking that it is a surge i am sure it is not in battery power at that point it is the AVR that is causing the problem,
so the ups's avr is causing a voltage fluctuation of +-35v to the computer of 210v - 245v and this drop or rise in voltage occurs very qiuckly.
so will my power supply get damaged?or will the active pfc counter this?
