Question Active signal resolution not matching current resolution ?

Hi, so i have overclocked my monitor (acer t230h) to 72 hertz. Whenever i put 1680x1050, or anything other than 1920x1080, the active signal resolution stays the same. However, when i make it 60 hertz it matches my resolution. Any fix for this? My specs are
GTX 1070
i5-7500 @ 3.40ghz
H270-HD3P GIGABYTE motherboard

if your monitor doesnt supports it, then active resolution wont budge, otherwise you would see just black screen/incorrect signal

but to answer your question, go to nvidia display settings and change aspect ratio to no scalling
