Active windows suffer from huge FPS drops.

Now, i diddn't really know what category to place this request in but go ahead move it if you want to.

Now I've got a SERIOUS problem. Really. So when i toggle a window, like move my mouse and click inside it, it lags like crazy. It drops to around 21-23 fps, like a frame cap. Now if i toggle another window, still having the original window in the background, the original window will run smoother than the smoothest program.

For example, if i use Adobe Flash Projector to play a web-based game, it will stay at 21-23 (22) fps, almost like its capped. However if i click into another window, the flash game will run smoothly in the background. This also applies for other AAA games, run in borderless/windowed mode. In a period fullscreen was also going haywire on League of Legends until i refreshed the game and suprisingly activated V-Sync. I dont use V-Sync on other programs because of my G-Sync monitor.

Can someone help me to answering why most of my programs are stuck at 22 fps in windowed/borderless mode?

Specs:

GTX 970
16GB DDR3 Ram
Intel I7-4790
Unsure about motherboard/power supply, i diddent build the pc, it's a store bought one.
Monitor: Acer Predator XB270H 144hz G-sync 27" and a Asus 60hz 27" secondary monitor.

I hate to say it but g-sync was the problem. If i start the application with g-sync turned off, it runs silky smooth. Wether i turn it on or off while the application is active, nothing changes.

Thanks for the tip, i dont know what causes this though. Hopefully it's fixed in the future.

Probably a driver/ driver and Windows issue. Wait for the next release and try again or another windows and try again.

Glad i could help.
