I would like to mention that I have a 12 GB ram DDR3 with 1333 mghz frequency.

Can I play heavy games with these configurations on low - medium settings

so if you can do that now, you'll do it better with a better GPU, the graphical settings can increase. Yes the CPU might not feed it perfectly, but the other option is that the GPU can't process what the CPU sends, which is where you are now.
