For about a year (that I can remember); when I do a Google Search; at the top are products often related to my search.

The problem is, when I actually see something I like; and clink the link, I get this error "ad.doubleclick.net’s server DNS address could not be found."

The way the items are shown, reminds me of some kind of adware...? Is this malware? Or is this really google (and why doesn't it say that; instead of just "Sponsored"; which is exactly what the old adware's used to do?

If this is google; then why the DNS error? I have formatted my computers many times and still receive this; why is why I am concern; if it is something lingering, it can only be from my chrome sync; as that is the only thing ran from install to seeing the ads.

If it is something specific to me; does anyone know how to fix it; and would it explain the similar DNS issues I get randomly on YouTube and the "Something Went Wrong" errors, I get half way through videos on Facebook?

Thank you all for your help...

you can thank google for that.. its like my ads on top/side are populated with parts from computers so i see ads for NewEgg a lot, I also visit the Guitar Center website, so a lot of times i see those ads as well, but I also get shown "sweet water music company" ads as well, which is like a guitar center competitor... once or twice a week i like to read at car & driver and motor trend about new cars.. one day i read about like the new GMC Acadia SUV on one of the sites... next day i'm seeing ads on side of browser for GMC trucks... so i think its google browser based what they're feeding you.. Personally, I don't mind ads at all as long as it's for things im' interested in.. the thing that pisses me off is when i see one with a price thats considerably lower and it turns out not to be accurate lol

In this case; I truly believe they are google's doing... They are like top items if you were to click the shop link. The problem is, when I click on them; I only get a dead page; kind of like they are being blocked by an av program. I am not actively running one currently.

yeah, its usually based off of what you've been browsing/reading lately.. which is basically smart on googles part of selling ads in that... people are more likely to click an ad for things they are personally interested in... for me its computer parts, musical equipment, and cars... typical nerdy guy things... now.. if my ads were populated with sports, i'd ignore them completely...

I had this problem too and just fixed it. I did it by going to Control Panel, Admin tools, Services, right click on DNS Client and restart. Same for DHCP Client service after I did those it fixed instantly. Worth a try.

If you're using Anti SpyBot Beacon for Windows 10 one of the options is stopping those search related ad websites from coming up. I had this happen for a year until I figured out that was the problem and I didn't have some type of adware.
