Ad Supported OS

Since Tom's seems to be so excited to post every tidbit of apple news lately, I found one that I think is worthy of the front page...

For those that are wondering, apple has submitted a patent request for an Ad Supported OS which disables certain functions when ads are being presented to the user.

I'm pretty sure the google already had this idea as that's originally what they wanted to do with those $200 Linux PCs they sold at walmart.

If that was forced id dump Apple SO fast.
I dont think is will be tho. Its optional... maybe get tho OS free, or discounted products etc.

Personally i think its a lame idea.
I also think scooters (mopeds) are retarded beyond belief. Doesnt stop people buying them.

Whatever, the trend is "patent every idea, just in case"
