AD wifi issue. Motherboard ROG RAMPAGE VI EXTREME & NIGHTHAWK X10.
I'm unable to get them to talk to each other. 2.4 + 5ghz work fine.

Below are the details for the device; Windows 10 can see it. Is anyone able to advise on what the values should be?

---------------

Qualcomm Atheros Sparrow 11ad Wireless Network Adapter
Hardware ID:
PCI\VEN_1AE9&DEV_0310&SUBSYS_00001AE9&REV_02
PCI\VEN_1AE9&DEV_0310&SUBSYS_00001AE9
PCI\VEN_1AE9&DEV_0310&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_1AE9&DEV_0310&CC_0280

I have got a picture of the current driver settings. But I'm unable to post on here off the mobile site?

The settings are:
Aggregation maximum window size
Identify 802.11as if supported by O... (couldn't see all of this)
interrupt moderation: max RX burst dur... (coundn't see all of this)
interrupt moderation: max TX coplete... (coundn't see all of this)
interrupt moderation: timeout to detect... (coudn't see all of this)
interrupt moderation: timeout to detect... (coudn't see all of this)
Max HW buffers forTx and Rx
Max MTU packet size
Network Address
Reset mode
Soft AP Channel
Use Contiguous buffer in Tx path
Use DW reorder packets

I think it is like all other wireless you do not set things on the client end only on the router and the router default settings should work best in general.

The huge disadvantage to 802.11ad is you have to be very close even the air itself absorb huge amounts of the signal. I would start with the router and the pc on the same table to get it working.

802.11ad is going to have limited usage since you pretty much need to be in the same room and then a ethernet cable is a lot less effort for many people to get setup.

There should be lights on the router if the radio is enabled. The router should put out different ssid and you should just see them in the selection list. Not sure unless there is somethings strange about the pc drivers it should just see ssid from the router and let you select it.

802.11ad is not something I have used so I can't say for sure.

Light is on and SSID is supposedly broadcastingbfrom the router.
I'm thinking it's the driver. But not much help out there.
