Question Adapater VGA to DVI or to DP?

Good morning friends, I have an old monitor which I want to connect as a second monitor, my GPU is a 1050 and I have my current monitor connected with HDMI and my old monitor uses VGA, so maybe it is a stupid question by I don't know which adapter to get, VGA to DP or to DVI? Thanks in regards!

I'd recommend a new monitor if you really want to go with two displays. Going from a digital signal (DVI-D, HDMI, DP) to analog (VGA) has always been iffy. However, if you absolutely cannot go that route, pick up both from a local store that has a good return policy. If you find one that does work for you, return the other(s).
