Adaptec 2940

I have an adaptec 2940 scsi controller and it say that the scsi bios was not installed every time i start my pc. Is there any was to flash the bios on a scsi card? If you could help me out I would really appreciate it. The card works fine but the message is kind of annoying.

Download your BIOS update from here:

http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/support/drivers_by_product.html?cat=/Product/AHA-2940

Create a startup floppy disk and copy the Aflash.exe and BIOS definition to the same disk.

The instruction usually are in the "Readme" file, but you will need to flash your BIOS at C:\ prompt using the "Aflash.exe" utility. The utility will usually walk you through the process, but make sure you have the "Aflash" and BIOS definition file on the same bootup floppy disk. This just makes life much more simplier.

Am I correct in assumeing that you have no HDD's connected to the card. The Bios is only installed if you have a HDD connected.

I didn't know that. The only thing I have hooked up to it is my scsi burner.
