Your motherboard has one PCIe x16 slot and two PCIe x1 slots. I assume you have a graphics card in the x16 slot, leaving you with the x1 slots.

An NVMe SSD typically requires a x4 lane for theoretical maximum speeds, which your motherboard is lacking. Even if there is an adapter for a x1 slot it wouldn't reach the theoretical maximum speeds of an NVMe SSD.

The only scenario you can get an NVMe SSD to run at its fullest potential is if you don't use a discrete graphics card.
