Adapter to support 4K 60Hz

My laptop that does not support 4k (3840 x 2160) at 60 hz. It has 950M Graphic card and 6700HQ but the port supports max res upto 2560 x 1600. I have just bought a 4K screen but the refresh rate is 30 hz. That's annoying.
Can someone please give me suggestions on how to fix that?

Your 4k screen cannot do more that it's made for, you're stuck at 30 hz.

Also, there is no adapter that will give you better resolution than your GPU can output.

Thanks for your reply.

But my monitor's native resolution is 3840 x 2160 at 60hz.
But the laptop hardware isn't capable I believe (HDMI 1.4).
The hdmi cable I am using supports 4K@60/3D/1080p@240hz.
So, I was thinking to buy something like this
