Adaptive Sync on GPU without support?

I recently ordered an asus MG248Q monitor with adaptive sync, and now I notice that my GPU (gtx 1060 6gb) doesn't support it. Should I return the monitor and get one with regular sync, or will this one work?

Your monitor will work fine, but you can't use the adaptive sync function since that's reserved for AMD cards.

It doesn't mean you can't use regular vsync on it.
