adaptive sync

hi, i have asus tuff dash f15 laptop (144hz version 3060)
and it says on the laptop it has adaptive sync, i enabled it in invidia panel also ingame like apex legends it shows the option to enable but when i enable nothing changes, totally nothing also my frames does not cap at 144hz
any suggestions?

adaptive sync doesnt limit framerate, its main purpose is when your fps is lower then your display refresh rate
do you get screen tearing?

Main purpose of adaptive sync is to prevent screen tearing, when refresh rate is not in sync with fps.
On high refresh screen - screen tearing is minimal anyway.

Do you get any screen tearing artifacts?
If not, then adaptive sync is working.

havent noticed, if i have then it happened too fast
