Whats with the tall heatsinks? Or is that just part of the design of the package? RAM doesn't require much cooling, and tall heatsinks only hinder installation of certain CPU heatsinks.

I have to agree with amuffin though, RAM speed doesn't make much sense when we already have dual channel or quad channel designs providing plenty of communication bandwidth to begin with.

Tom's Hardware, I am failing to understand the significance of this product launch and why it warrants a news article on the front page of your website. This seems like a relatively mundane product launch, being fast gamer RAM which is already available in abundance.

Is this an entirely new product category for ADATA, is it faster than any other RAM, or is there some other aspect or breakthrough that makes this RAM quite unique? Just wondering why this is special, as after reading the article it seems to be more of an unpaid advertisement?

[citation][nom]amuffin[/nom]Pretty useless as there is no performance increase for games from 1333mhz-2400mhz.[/citation]
Actually there is no noticeable performance increase of games when going from 1333MHz to 1866MHz. But speeds above 1866 are needed because of CPU overclocks which do bring performance increase. Otherwise with RAM working at 1333-1866MHz your CPU will be sitting idle at 4.5-5GHz.
