Hello
recently i bought an ADATA S102 Pro 64gb USB 3.2 [Pen Drive]
I tested it with my laptop and PC with windows 10 (both of devices only supports USB3.0)
read speed is good and between 100 to 150 mb/s
but write speed regularly drops to 0 or near 0 every 2 3 sec and then raise to 20 to 60 mb/s and again ...
i tried to uninstall usb 3 driver from device manager but not helped
what can i do ?

Maybe the stick is overheating, are your copying large or small files (up to 10MB)?

Which laptop is it? brand and exact model please. A BIOS update could help

Is the speed Mbit or MByte/s?

Try a USB bench tool like chrystal disk
https://www.techadvisor.co.uk/download/portable-applications/crystaldiskmark-portable-700h-3331490/
I copied from 500 MByte to 3 GB file. no difference
Speed is MByte/S
When i touch the stick it isn't hot.
My laptop is ASUS G501JW
My PC's Motherboard is ASUS M4A79XTD-EVO/USB3

Here is the Crystal disk benchmark results
One thing i noticed is sometimes i get about 78 mb/s write speed but somtimes i get 58 and smetimes i get 0 or below 1 mb/s in crystal disk benchmark
I don't know why i can't get a consistent performance and benchmark result !

Would consider a faulty or incompatible USB drive.

BIOS of the laptop and motherboard is up to date?

Intel inf drivers are up to date? eventually use the intel update utility for this

BTW the stick is USB3.2 Gen 1 which means, it´s "just" a USB3.0 stick (5Gb/s)

I have using the latest bios version for my laptop and PC and also installed latest inf driver and also tested the stick in safe mode and windows clean boot
No difference
I read Comments in the seller site from some people that had same issue
They rejected the device to guarantee service and they told to him the stick had not any problem with usb 3.1 port
Maybe this issue relates to my old laptop and hardware ?!Or maybe Windows 10 problem
I have not installed linux or windows 7 to check it

Could be a compatibility issue, but since USB3.0, USB3.1 gen 1 and USB3.2 gen 1 are all the same thing, could be a faulty stick as well. Would reject the stick and get a different one, other brand and model maybe.

USB3.1 gen2 (10Gb/s) could help nontheless

Maybe try Ubuntu live or similar to check the performance there.

Reformat the flash drive,.Did you format it to ntfs or fat32 or...?

Yes I formated as fat32 and NTFS and exFat. still the same
The last things that i should check is connecting to an other pc with usb 3.1 support and test with another OS

Sent the stick back to guarantee and today they sent me a new one with same model
This new one works pretty good with write speed of 75 Mbyte/sec and read speed of 150
