how can I overclock this ram without using xmp? it seems as if the xmp overclock of 2933mhz is kinda not stable. what timings can I input if I want to manually overclock the ram? I want to get the stock 3000mhz or higher. my motherboard is a asrock fatal1ty ab350 k4 board, my cpu is a ryzen 5 1600.

Solution
im semi experienced with manually overclocking ram
Before these, save a profile of your stable BIOS. RAM has the tendency to stop the system from POSTing if you go too far. Two ways to fix it for me.
A:
1. Turn the PSU off (0)
2. Press case power button 5 times.
3. Keep it pressed for 30 seconds.
4. Turn the PSU on. (1)
5. Turn the PC on
6. Adjust BIOS.
B:
Reset CMOS. Your BIOS will reset to default.

oh wow didn't know that. well im running the 32gb right now at 2666mhz, I was able to run at 2933mhz but the pc would take longer to post/boot. why only 2666mhz max with 4x8 32gb?

https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/Fatal1ty%20AB350%20Gaming%20K4/index.asp#Specification
Ryzen Series CPUs (Summit Ridge):
UDIMM Memory Slot Frequency(MHZ)
A1 A2 B1 B2
- DR - DR 2400-2667
-----------------------------------------------------------
The max for that MB is 2667MHz. Instead of trying to go higher and increase your load times as you said, why don't you tighten the timings instead? I have found these two guides helpful.

You start lowering each timing one by one till it's not stable, then you back off one step
For example: 16-16-16-34 > ... > 13-16-16-34 > crash/no post > 14-16-16-34 > ... > 14-14-14-30

You have to test and adjust. In the end, you might wanna run Memtest86 multiple rounds to ensure full stability.

If you're feeling masochistic/bored, you could adjust the secondary/tertiary timings too.
