Question Adblocker

Thanks. I used to use ublock origin until my vpn browser was recently updated and now it blocks even those blocker addons calling them malware. Can't win for losing (pun intended) since practically every webpage I go to now had consistent pop up ads and all kinds of windows that pop up over my entire screen....grrrrrr

I am using the Avast browser vpn entirely. But its not as effective as it used to be with its built in blockers any longer. The worst of it is that now no matter which Youtube video I am watching, be it a subbed blog or just any of interest, Youtube has apparently gotten around every blocker I've ever used and none work any longer. My vpn worked best with its own built in blocker until this past week.

Why not use Opera with in-built vpn. You can add any extensions to it with the chrome extension installed. It also has an ad blocker built in and tracking blocker too. Just a suggestion.

Thanks for your suggestions. Later this weekend I'll check on those. My banking started to not work unless I used a vpn rather than a normal browser which is why I switched from Chrome to the Avast Secure Browser VPN.

Do you use split tunneling? Surfshark split tunneling has never worked for many including me. Tech support has you running in circles. Not thinking, I signed up for a four years stint. 30 day refund was way past its time limit. Almost two years to go before I signup with Nord or such. Ublock works great as is.

Not sure I understand what you mean here. My current browser is Avast Secure Browser which has its own blocking setup but as I mentioned above, after it updated recently, every adblocker I had installed to use with it, the Avast program started blocking even those adblockers calling them malware and I can't reinstall them at all. I did have Ublock installed which was also blocked by the new Avast setup.

So now I am searching for another browser to use instead that works as well as Avast used to work even with adblockers. Seems Avast doesn't want anyone to use other software with its browser....so am on the hunt for a replacement.

I am talking VPN. Tunneling is bypassing trusted websites or nagging sites you can't live without using the activated VPN.
