Question Add another 1x8 RAM to have 2x8?

Hello, I just wanted to know if this is possible without any issues.

I'm planning to buy another 1x8 Kingston DDR4 HyperFuryX 2400mhz for my rig. I currently have one and I wanted to add another one
in order to have dual-channel memory on my PC.

They are both DDR4 and have the same speed. Now my concern also is with the timing.

To avoid issues it is recommended to buy RAM as a kit and not to mix sets. By buying the same make and model you reduce the risk of issues but it can and does still happen to some.

Your safest option is sell your 1x8gb and buy a 2x8gb kit.

I can't find a 2x8 kit for Kingston HyperfuryX from where I am.
I know they cost a bit more(?) than buying a 1x8 memory. I could save up some money enough to fill up the remaining costs for the 2x8 kit before I sell my 1x8.

The thing is, I'm upgrading my GPU soon. Its an RTX and dual-channel memory would be better.
