Add another gtx 770 and sli or go for stronger gpu?

Hey everyone.

Some time ago a bought a gtx 770 2gb and thought that I will throw another card in the rig later.
And now I doubt, mostly because of 2gb of ram.

I want to play games such as Battlefield 4, Far Cry 3/4 on all of my three 23" monitors.
Using one gtx 770 I could not max out BF4 playing on one monitor.
The fps drops under 30 when 64 players blow everything up in Operation Locker or building is going down in Sage of Shanghai.
That is why I doubt about three monitors with two gtx 770.

Okay, the question is what is the most reasonable choice, and what would you choose:

1. Buy another Gigabyte gtx 770 (400$) or Zotac/Colorful/Inno3d (340$).
2. Sell my gtx 770 (160$) and
2.1. Buy r9 290 (535$)
2.2. Buy r9 290x (665$)
2.3. Buy gtx 780 ti (~695$)

I am ready to spend ~450$ for the gpu.
The prices are from my local place and may vary from yours.
My PSU is FSP 800w gold+, so it will be able to hold gtx 770 in sli.

I do not mind the loudness, but I live in a hot place and overheating may be a problem.
Also there are too many users having issues with 290x, most of them with Elpida memory.

What manufacturer would you suggest?

P.S. Completely forgot, Watch Dogs runs very poorly on AMD cards :(

780ti has only 3gb of ram, that is why I feel like it won't live long in my rig.
Watch Dogs runs very poorly on 290x and it overheats.
So another gtx 770 seems to be the best solution.

Is it okay to sli two different brands or it is better to go with the same manufacturer?
Gigabyte cards are overpriced here.

i personally like nvidia better because u get shadowplay. i record alot. also the new gtx 880 comes out end of the year. u can wait for that. rumours said that they might be cheaper than the 780ti. 290x is a no go, i used mine and it broke in a week. i have 2 kingpin 780ti and they are beast

This card has a good cooling system, and is recommended by a lot of people.

* one of the reviews
Very good card. BF4 on ultra at 1920x1080 running a solid 75-80 FPS. Eggstremely quiet (even at 90-100% fans speed) compared to almost every other air-cooled R9 290x I've heard. Temperatures are no issue...period! Anyone who tells you they are getting high temperatures clearly have a case with little to no ventilation. My Antec 1200 lets in plenty of air in the front and exhausts it all out the top and back.

This is also a little article about Watch Dogs.
Though i do agree that AMD runs poorly on Watch Dogs, but surely runs extremely good on all other games. Don't let one poorly optimized game make you hate the R9 290x, because the 290x will definitely eat all games with ease.

Just because you were unlucky, and got a broken card, doesn't mean it's a bad card?

Actually I prefer nvidia and use ShadowPlay too, heh, another stone into AMD garden.
It is very annoying to return broken or buggy hardware bought online, and r9 is like a lottery.

Waiting for gtx 880 could end up waiting for r9 3xx.
There are no specific and confirmed release date of any of those.
I probably will go for another gtx 770.

So, what about sli two different brands?

Thank you, but I guess things are different in my place.
A friend of mine, who has a small hardware shop told me, that he received five XFX r9 290x and they all are not stable.
