[SOLVED] add custom usb port to monitor

Hi,
I am wondering if there is a way to add an usb port to a monitor that does not have one by default. I am not interested in any video or audio signals, but power only.
So, my monitor only has hdmi, vga and dvi and i would like to use one of those ports (vga preferably) to use it with an adaptor in order to make use of it as an usb port. Like i said, i only need to use this 'custom made' usb port as a power source to charge my phone for instance, or power some speakers, or stuff like these.
Has anyone done something similar ? Do you know whether such adapters exist ? I couldn't find one yet.

No, there is no "adapter" like that.
You can't turn a VGA port into a USB charging port.

Why not just buy a USB hub and optionally attach it to the back of your monitor with double-sided tape or something? Or just leave it on your desk. It's not like it should take up that much space.

It's not about space. I was trying to find a way to make use of an unused monitor port. I have a pretty low PSU to my PC and just wanted to use the monitor's psu instead, for different stuff.
