Question Add Serial no. in BIOS

If I buy any branded PC like HP, DELL, ASUS. I can locate the serial no. by using command like wmic bios get serialnumber

But If i built a computer on my own, I cant find any serial number using the same command "wmic bios get serialnumber"

So i want to add know that Is there a way by which we can add serial number in the bios, so that It will display on my system using the same command

For what purpose? Branded PCs have serial numbers because they need to track their products. Your custom PC isn't a prebuilt; adding a serial number has little, if any use. If you have an unusual edge case in which it is useful, you haven't explained at all the why.

I have a shop, where I built PCs and I have to track all such things. As of now we are just putting a label with serial number on the chasis, which get erased or damaged after some use. Thats why I am looking for the alternate
