[SOLVED] Add SSD to Intel DH77EB

Hi, My motherboard is Intel DH77EB and it has a 1 TB HDD. I want to add 240GB SSD to it.

Now, I don't know whether it is possible or not and if it is will the "Kingston SSDNow A400 240GB Internal Solid State Drive (SA400S37/240GIN)" be compatible to it.

So, any hdd or ssd will be compatible. The only thing you may run into is that the system may not have a port for you to use on the motherboard to connect the drive. You have to first ensure you have a free SATA port on the motherboard, or that you have a two port SATA cable that will allow you to connect the second drive. You also have to make sure you have a free SATA power connection from PSU for the second drive.

You should have no problems adding the 240gb ssd. The motherboard looks like it has a total of 4 sata ports so you just need to make sure you have a free power connector.

The free power connector would be from the power supply. It would be the same as the one currently connected to the existing hard drive.
