I added a 2x4GB kit of Corsair Vengeance ram to my existing 4 GB of Corsair ram and when I started it up, there was no video, and my peripherals and USB devices aren't getting any power.
I've tried reseating my GPU, resetting the CMOS, and trying just the old RAM, but none of that worked. I think my GPU is getting power because I see the fan spinning but I'm not sure if it is.

So when you only use your old 4 gb kit as your comp was before the upgrade it still doesnt work? Thats not a good sign, it could possibly be damage to the dimm slot, the ram itself, or you might have caused damage with a static discharge. Sometimes just pressing reset cmos on a pc doesnt really work, try removing the cmos battery or using the reset cmos jumper if your board has one. Also, vengeance is a very popular model of ram that they have upgraded over time. If you look at the ram itself it should show a version number. For example I recently tried to do the same thing you did, but it turns out my ram was vengeance ram version 2.12, and the new ram was like version 5.15 or something and they were not compatible together in my system. If you can get the old ram to work, try inserting only the new ram, resetting cmos and try again. If that works, try and add the old ram to it doing the same procedure and if it works well done, nice 12 gb rig. Also post the motherboard specs and specific ram specs so i can do some more digging.
