Hi Everyone,

I just recently added two new sticks of RAM (16-->32), which were identical sticks to the original 2x8's. Everything booted up fine but I am getting weird errors and random BSOD's. Some errors include "Status Access Violations" errors on chrome and Read Errors [6.154: 'common.fp'] on games like Warzone.

Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?

I am not sure if this helps but here is the CPU-Z information on the RAM:

https://prnt.sc/21lx7jw

Thank you!

Were the two new RAM sticks purchased as a matched set (kit) for dual channel use?

Where did you purchase the RAM sticks?

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Make and model motherboard?

The Motherboard's User Guide/Manual should provide a listing of the supported RAM and physical RAM configurations.

(Some motherboards require that the first physically installed RAM stick be installed in a specific slot.)

The User Guide will also likely refer you to the motherboard's manufacturer's website for more up-to-date information. Be sure to read all fine print and caveats.

Hi Ralston,

Thanks for replying. I bought the RAM sticks off Amazon (XPG D60 3200 2x8GB).

The motherboard is an MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC (https://storage-asset.msi.com/datasheet/mb/global/B450-GAMING-PRO-CARBON-AC.pdf)

I tried removing the two new sticks of ram which I inserted in the 1/3 spot and it fixed all the issues I was having. Does this mean the RAM was bad or am i configuring something wrong?

This motherboard?

https://download.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe/mb/E7B85v1.2.pdf

Reference physically numbered Page 31 (DIMM Slots)

"Always insert memory modules in the DIMMA2 slot first."

Go back and double check both physical RAM installation and overall RAM configuration per the User Guide and more specifically Pages 16 (Memory) and 31(DIMM Slots).

As noted on Page 16 refer to MSI's website for more information on compatible memory.

It probably means your new set of ram does not play nice with the old set of ram.

Try updating the bios and see if it helps.
