Adding a 2GB ram stick to a 8gb setup. Increase or decrese performance ?

Hey guys

I have 2x4gb ram in my setup. They sit on a Asus P8Z77-V LX motherboard.
I have a 2gb ram stick laying around. I was wondering if adding that to the setup would do anything performance-wise ?

A little more information.
The 2 sticks in my setup are kingston and they are red. Not exactly sure which, since I haven't taken them out yet.
The one I'm considering adding has this written on it: kingston kvr1333d3n9/4g kit of 2 1.5v

You won't notice any difference in performance with that other 2 gig of RAM over 8 without running a benchmark. I would just leave it out and keep the system in dual channel mode. Especially if the RAM you will install is slower than the on you have now.
