Adding a CPU

Ok so i right now have a Intel Pentium g3258. If i wanted to get an i5 quad core http://www.amazon.com/Intel-Core-i5-3470-Quad-Core-Processor/dp/B0087EVHVW
Would i need to get a new motherboard, ram, etc.?

Yes, the CPU you have now is LGA1150 and the CPU you linked to is LGA1155. However you would be downgrading in terms of generation.

Depends on what motherboard you have now, but likely not.

RAM is not an issue.

Usually the same socket cpu can just be swapped out. Check your cpu support list for the mobo.

As others have said, you can most likely drop in any socket 1150 CPU you want. These CPUs will be marked "i3 4xxx", "i5 4xxx", or "i7 4xxx".
