Hello,

I am wondering if any has done this. I have the 1080ti SC2, I am going to add the 1080ti SC2 Hybrid as the second GPU. I am assuming this should work pretty well since they both have the same specs, and will definitely help with case thermals. Wondering if anyone has tried this?

The cooling type the cards have does not have anything to do if they can work together. Adding a second card is not as good are replacing it with a single faster card though. I'd swap out your 1080 for a 2080 before buying a second 1080.

uskiwisean I've done it, in the past, although I didn't have a hybrid and non-hybrid connected in SLI. I had 2 x EVGA 980 Ti SC (reference) / 1 x EVGA FTW3 1080 Ti Hybrid. I initially ran both the 980 Ti's in SLI, for gaming. Then briefly I added the 1080 Ti, disabled SLI on the 980 Ti's and used all three GPUs in Octane render and for Folding@Home. In answer to your question, yes you can SLI a hybrid and non-hybrid GPU. It's unorthodox, but I've actually seen your same question posted here by others, every once in a while.

Out of my own curiosity, which games do you plan to run? I happen to play Ark Survival and Overwatch, both of which work extremely well with SLI.
