[SOLVED] adding a M2 SSD

hi,


I have just got a HP OMEN 880 Intel® Core™ i7 GTX 1070 Gaming PC - 2 TB HDD & 256 GB SSD

when I used the SSD for windows it was super fast, but current windows size is over 560GB now

and I put windows on the sata drive, but is not fast for visual Studio 2017/9 nor Unity, UDK, Andriod Studio etc

and it freezes sometimes ...


I am not an expert, and I would like to know if I can add these to the hp omen

You could replace your current 250GB SSD with 1TB SSD instead.

But yes - PCIE to M.2 adapter should work also.

Thank you for answering, currently I am using the 250GB SDD for L4D2, COD games and servers ...

would a new 1TB SSD for OS cause a bottleneck, currently I am getting this gaming

What do you mean by SSD bottleneck?

When people talk about bottlenecks, this is usually about strong gpu paired with weak cpu.
SSD has nothing to do with it.

when I use the SDD for gaming, it freezes, not due to lag, maybe due to using the sata drive for OS, that why I wish the Adapter

That is not bottleneck.
It's possible there are some health issues with your storage devices.
