Adding a new ssd

Hi, I am planning to add another ssd and use it as a boot drive instead of my 240gb one or should I just leave the 240gb as the boot drive and use the other ssd to download games. If I do decide to use the new one for boot drive. Would I have to install windows to the new one then plug the old one back in while having an os on it?

I would like to hear some suggestion. The boot drive I am using right now is a sandisk ultra 2 and the new one is a mx500 1tb.

Unless second drive is much, much faster I would use it as secondary drive.

Not enough difference to worry about.
Leave the OS on the current SanDisk, and use the new MX500 as a secondary.
