Recently i bought a new CPU cooler and noticed it can support an additional fan(92mm). Problem is I cant find any shops that supply the same stock fan. I found a fan that is the same size but the fan speeds differ. My question is, Can i add this new fan(2600 rpm) to the heat sink to extract the heat as the stock fan(2800rpm) blows the cooler air towards the heatsink. will it work or not? There is a fan above the heat sink (top case fan)extracting hot air.

Solution
Yes. As long as the size is correct, and the power is supplied through 3pin or MOLEX, it's fine. If you get a 4pin, you'll need a 4pin splitter which adds an extra dollar/pound to the cost.
