I bought a 17 inch hp envy 12 generation i7 at Best Buy. can add a second ssd drive. I don’t want to waste the 512 installed . model:17-cr0013dx

Your laptop should have an M.2 SSD which is the 512GB you state. You should have access to a 2.5" drive location inside the laptop. You're going to need to open the bottom panel for your laptop in order to inspect it though.
