Adding a subwoofer to Onkyo Tx-nr676

I recently bought Onkyo TX-NR676 installed 5 ceiling speakers 3 on front Acoustic R191 and 2 rear for surround Pyle PDIC60 so my question is I need to add a subwoofer to my receiver the receiver has 2 RCA On the back 1 says subwoofer and another says subwoofer PRE out. now I have a subwoofer laying around it’s a pioneer model TS-W309D4 it says 1400w max - 400w Nom the box has no power to it so I believe it’s a passive sub, is it possible to connect this sub to the receiver and use it as subwoofer or do I need to buy additional equipment, parts to use it or better to buy new power subwoofer

No... the two sub outs allows stereo or mono hookups. If your new active sub has mono input, just use the top jack marked "6" otherwise use both.
