adding additional 16 gb (2 8gb) to another 2-8gb ram issue

I have a asrock z270 extreme 4 mother board with corsair vengeance ddr4 2 8gb ram cards. everything works fine but when I add 2 additional 8gb ram cards (same brand and everything) my computer starts up, lights on and everything but I get black screen. When I take them out my computer works fine. I have windows pro 64bit os. It is not activated but I doubt that should matter. I went into my bios and turned any memory profile to auto just in case and I still am having the same issue. I do not think they are faulty ram. I've had this problem before and fixed it by moving the ram to the right slots (a1b1a2b2 style memory slots). I really don't know what else to do.

Mixing RAM is always a crapshoot. Even of the same brand/size.

The original 2 x 8GB works?
Does the new 2 x 8GB work on its own?

Haven't tried that yet. will try now. Looks like its working just fine so its on the mother boards end and not the ram.

Both work fine on their own.
