Question Adding adhesive heatsinks to laptop GPU heatsink?

I have a Clevo/Sager/Eurocom laptop with dual 980m GPUs. I took the heatsinks out to replace the thermal paste, and I am curious if I could further improve my GPU temps if I added some of the little adhesive heatsinks to the heatsink tubing between the GPU and the fans.

I doubt they would fit but unless there's enough air going over them there's nothing to gain.
