Hello,
I Was looking to add a 250GB ssd to my Girlfriend's Cyberpower Prebuilt. Is there a way to ensure that I can just make the SSD a boot drive and have the harddrive as extra storage without deleting it's current files? I want to make sure before installation. She doesn't want to lose anything on the harddrive.
Thank you!

Id strongly suggest a minimum of 500GB for an SSD these days and I would also buy a SSD with a cache such as teh Samsung 860, Cricual MX500 or P1 etc , not a DRAM Less one such as the Kingston A400, Crucial BX500 etc. The DRAM less oens are cheaper but they sacrifice alot of performance not having a DRAM.

Now for your original question:

You can clone the HDD to the new SSD using software such as Macrium Reflect https://www.macrium.com/reflectfree
