Currently I have windows 7 installed on one partition of a 1tb sata3 harddrive and the rest is storage. In my old pc I had a 320gb drive that had vista installed on one partition and the rest was storage. If i wanted to move the vista hdd to the new pc that already has the windows 7 drive installed on it, would it format the vista partition of the vista drive?

Thanks

No, it won't format the drive if you don't explicitly engage it to do it.

But right after you connect your second (vista) hard drive in your new computer, even before booting Windows, go in your BIOS and set your current Hard Disk (not the vista one) to boot first, otherwise your computer will boot with Windows Vista.

-Hope it helps! :)
