Hello everyone! I want to add external power source to my usb hub. I will do it like this>> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tEVCaaNVJQ&utm_campaign=DonanimHaber&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=DonanimHaber
But there is a problem. This video shows adding power to 2.0 usb cable but i want to do it for 3.0 hub. My hub has 10 wire connections. This is the hub>> https://drive.google.com/open?id=12dYJa98zyb4rLj3FjpTzf4tSN4Up8yqd I want to add external power to 2.0 and 3.0. If you need hub's datasheet>> https://goo.gl/uyyJBe Please help me. I will be very grateful if you help. Have a nice day!

The first link is inaccessible, and the second one brings me to a datasheet for a USB hub chip. Are you building the hub for yourselves?
And the video is not relevant, I suppose.

I updated the link. Please check again. And i don't building it myself, just i am adding external power to it.

This picture shows just a connector, with (probably) both USB and Ethernet connection. I can't tell where this connector goes, and messing with it has a high chance of damaging something you know nothing about.

A 3.0 USB hub with power supply is like $30. Get one of these, and power whatever you want to be powered thru this hub.

Thanks for your advice but i want to do it myself. I will use a diode so i will not harm my pc but maybe i can harm the hub and plugged device. If i cut the red wire and add a diode there then add power supply to red and black, will it work?(as in the video)
