Hello everyone, need some help or advice. Recently built a PC for gaming and fun, and have been actually using it for mining instead of my heater this winter with much luck. Specs as follows:
Msi meg z390 ace
Corsair crystal case
I9 9900k w/ codsair h100i LC
Evga 1070 ti sc hybrid x2 SLI
32gb hyperx
M2 ssd, 2 sata hd
Evga 850 p2 psu

System is running mint and cool on win 10 pro, mining load gpu's stay under 48deg, and cpu around 58. Seems real good and smooth. The 1070ti's are getting 61mh/s on eth.
Firestrike ultra bench is just under 17,000. Im happy with it.

Now, my problem lies in trying to hook up another gpu with a powered pci riser. I have a extra 1060 and 1070 i want to run. I used a 650w p2 i had, and have tried the bottom most pci x16 slot, and middle x1 slot. The motherboard will never recognize the riser and card, have searched all over the bios. Any input? Dont know if this is a pci lane issue??

Thanks for any help, still learning alot.

for SLI. Their is hardware switch that help to communicate between cards. And you know very well that. Their is a SLI Bridge which also do same. But without hardware on motherboard it is not possible to enable SLI and I am sure that your motherboard will not support more than 3 SLI cards. Even with Riser Cables. It is better to buy new power full Card

Switch their places and try booting. If that works you can switch again so the better card is in the 16x slot. Some Mobos you have to change 16/0/0 to 8x/8x/0.
