Adding HDD and qcodes A0?

Hey guyz. I just finished building my own pc and I'm using the mobo asus max gene... however I notice from my cousins pc that their qcodes does not indicate any number or does not have anything on it while mines says A0... and also I just got back from the computer store and bought an hdd how do I add this hdd? I plug the hdd and its not showing when I click the my computer.. all it shows is the 120gb ssd I bought....

You'll need to format the HDD before you'll be able to use it.

Control panel, Change view at top right to Large/Small icons, Administrative tools, Disk management.
