I currently have 256 MB of memory on my GA-7VRXP and want to add more. I
want to add a 512 MB DIMM in the second socket. Does anyone know of any
problems caused by mixing different size memory modules? I plan on using
the same manufacturer (Crucial) for my second DIMM.

I've had problems adding more than one stick (several brands tried,
including Kingston) to a GA-7VRXP.

Check my previous postings in this NG for details (and for those of
Homer, who kindly advised me), but there is an issue with early
revisions of the board and the power supplied to memory modules.
Symptoms are frequent (four out of five, roughly) BSOD on startup. There
is a fix, if you're good with soldering iron, but I decided to stick
with just the 256MB.

shouldn't be a problem at all if both sticks are of same rating (ie DDR 400)
but put the larger stick in the first slot and the smaller one last.
