amd a8 6600k black edition richland quad core
4 x 4.2ghz heat / sink & fan
memory 8GB DDR 3 1600 Hz
Hard Drive 1TB 7200rpm
Motherboard: GigaByte F2A58-m Socket FM2 + HDMI, DVI-D mATX
Graphics: ATi APU Up to 4Gb + ATi Radeon HD8570D
Directx 11 With PCI-e Slot Free upgrade
Tower case: ACE 550Watt PSU (no PCI-e) Fan Front USB Free Uprgade
Win 7

On the above specs what would be the right GPU/PSU combo to get the most out of the APU for the least money?

ie; Adding an 8gb GTX wouldn't be worth it im told because the APU will hold it back. Same with PSU prob no point getting a 1k Watt.

Am not the most Tech person but have learnt allot in last month or two so if we could keep it lamens terms please =) Thanks in advance also guys!!

Not got a budget I can publish because will be hoping to buy second hand off internet in UK from a used components shop. But in those terms £100 for both at maximum if not less.

If PSU isn't a problem, meaning you have like 700watts Bronze atleast, You can get R9-270x (2nd hand). 270x works like a charm on A8-6600k, and if you can, try getting the HiS brand IceQ Turbo. It's as far as i know the fastest 270x OC out of the box in the market. No need to OC it as you have TURBO enabled.

However, if power will be a problem, you can either go for the new RX-460. It performs higher than a GTX 750Ti but cheaper or around the same price. So either you go for GTX 750ti or RX-460, i recommend the RX 460 though.

All of the cards mentioned ranges from £100-£120

you dont need 1k power supply

you need a GOOD 500w or better psu

like the seasonic 520w, antec HCG 520W, evga ( gs, b2, p2, g2, ps, t2 models ) 550w, or xfx ( pro, ts, xts ) 550w

put the money saved into the video card
