[SOLVED] Adding Non-Server RAM to Server PC

Hi,

I have a Lenovo TS140 with 2x4 8GB of ram and I am looking to upgrade to 4x4 DDR3 Corsair Vengeance sticks. The RAM I am currently using is from SK Hynix. Would this upgrade be compatible? I am afraid that it being a server PC there may be some compatibility issues especially since I’m using “non-server ram.”

just make sure ALL of your ram are xxxxxE, since it stand for ECC Registered. ECC Registered + any Unbufffered dimm = wont work.
