Question Adding NVMe SSD to a Dell XPS with Hybrid drive

I have a Dell XPS 8900 with a Hybrid drive. There is an empty SSD slot on the mobo that appears to be for an NVMe SSD (It has a hold down screw at the correct location.) If I add an NVMe SSD in that position, will the SSD in the Hybrid drive still be addressable?
Thank you.

Make/model of the hybrid drive?

Generally, those are seen as a single space. The SSD portion is simply a cache for the HDD space, not to be used on its own.

And as above, that M.2 port is unlikely to be for an NVMe drive.

Thank you for your reply. The SSD is my C: drive; the HDD is my D: drive. Windows 10 on C:; data on D:. Also Steam games in use on C:. Games getting too big! (Ex. Anno1800 wants 90GB disk space.) If I mount the new SSD and things are messed up, I'll just remove it and save it for a new PC in 2024.
