this Christmas i'm going to treat myself with a new gtx 1060 6gb and i'm going to try to add more ram.
i'm a pretty big noob when it comes to computer building and i'm hoping some of the more tech savvy users can help me out here. i'm currently using the Z87 GD65 as my motherboard and i have 2x4gb corsair vengeance pro ddr3 ram. i looked in my motherboard manual and it doesn't mention ADDING ram so i don't really know how to go about doing it. i have the sticks of ram currently in the dimm slots 2 and 4 and my question is:
if i add 2 more 4gb sticks of the exact same ram to slots 1 and 3, will i be good to go with no problems? i know this probably sounds like a stupid question but sometimes i overthink things like this and i really would like someone to confirm ill be good to go. in the end im hoping to have 4x4gb sticks to make up 16gb.
thanks to anyone who responds in advance!
