Adding Second 780 Ti - Effect on Temperatures?

Does anyone have any hands on experience with SLI temperature vs. single card with 780 Ti? I have the MSI Gaming Edition. Right now the highest temperature I see is 75C with the stock fan profile. My case has a vertical motherboard mount so I won't really have a "top" card. Previously had two 7950s and they ran about the same temperature each.

What concerns me the most is the open design of the MSI Gaming Twin Frozr cooler.

The inside of your case will most likely warm up a couple degrees due to the heat being exhausted into your case, rather than outside with a blower style. As long as you have good case ventilation it won't be anything to worry about though.

I actually just installed a second 780 ti into my case yesterday!

They ran at the same temperature as a single card. Mine are the EVGA Superclocked version, though. They are blowers, so the heat went out the back. You'll be fine if you just use a good intake setup to pull air into your case as fast as you can.

What case do you have? I did it in a 350D.

My case is a Silverstone Raven RV03 so the cards hang vertically with two 180mm fans below them.

OH, that case will give you great airflow. Just put a space between the cards. It will be a little warm, but it won't be anything to worry about. The best thing is to just test, though. From looking at the case, you'll have solid intake blowing straight into the cards. The only "maybe" (and it's a slight maybe) is that the exhaust isn't pulling hot air from the source. My guess is that it won't be that beg of a deal, since intake is generally much more effective at cooling than exhaust anyway.
