I currently have on m.2 drive in slot M.2_1. Intel SSD 600p Series (1.0TB, M.2 2280 80mm NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4, 3D1, TLC)

2 black SATA hard drives

2 DVD drives.

I want to add M2 drive to slot M.2_2 ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 1TB 3D NAND NVMe Gen3x4 PCIe M.2 2280 Solid State Drive R/W 3500/3000MB/s SSD (ASX8200PNP-1TT-C)

My question is the motherboard states:
When the M.2_1 socket is operating in SATA mode, SATA port 1 will be disabled. ( I don't think I've lost port 1 using the Intel SSD. Is that correct? )

When the M.2_2 socket is operating in PCIEX4 mode, SATA port 5. 6 will be disabled.

If I add the new m.2_2 drive will I lose access to 5.6 SATA ports on the motherboard or am I ok?

Solution
Correct and correct.

Move anything that is currently in 5 or 6 to different ports.
Should not affect drive letters in any way.

And the NVMe in M.2 port #1 does not affect SATA port 1.

Yes, you will lose access to SATA ports 5 & 6.
They will be disabled.

Thanks for the quick reply. If I have SATA drives in ports 5 and 6 can I move them to another port without having to change any configurations or drive letters?

Also, do you agree that ( I don't think I've lost port 1 using the Intel INTEL SSD. Is that correct? )

Thank you,
Bill
