So where I work my boss wants to add a second phone to a service desk area, and we have a multi-line phone (4 lines) there already.
The line that is being used is an Ethernet cable (the phone has Ethernet inputs), and I was wanting to add the second phone to the same area, but I don't think there is a second line output so I am curious if there was a way that I could use a switch/splitter on the line that was there and hook up another multi-line phone to the one wire.
The goal is to have two phones at the desk, and that both phones will use the same 4 lines for incoming calls.
Can this be done easily with a splitter or switch, or do I need to have someone come out and install a second actual wire from the box?
