Adding second ram stick breaks computer

Alright so i acquired and older computer for free with a MSI G41M-S26 MOBO, I have multiple sticks of DDR3 ram (various sizes 1gb 2gb 4gb, I dont know any other stats on them) and the computer boots with any one stick, but when i attempt to add another it power on for a few seconds then powers off and begins to loop that process of on and off. It has an e5500 CPU that will be switched to an e5700 CPU. Obviously my goal is to just get it to work with more ram.

Solution
well... heres what I would do last. Take ONE of the Ram sticks, and put it in one slot. Boot the computer. Then try the other slot and boot. if it will boot when the ram is in one slot, but not the other, chances are the RAM slot is bad. That is just my best guess. Could you maybe Private message me a video of what the computer does with one stick of RAM vs 2? Also, can you give me the Full Specs of your PC?
yeah. Its not ideal to have different capacity and speed of ram in your system. Buy a good pair of RAM (I recommend the Kingston HyperX and the Corsair Vengance series) and stick with that pair.

Alright I've dug up a pair of ram that came from the same set (2x2 1333mhz) and the same issue comes about. any ideas?
