hi guys currently i only have 1 SSD ib my pc and its only 250gb. (960 evo pro)

i want to add a second, 1tb ssd and im wondering if i should add another m.2 like xpg gammix pro or a 2.5" ssd like a WD blue 3D.

my only concern with adding a 2nd m.2 nvme is heat and overcrowding pathways on my motherboard. is this a valid concern?

my mobo is a asrock b350m pro4 if that matters at all.

Solution
You already have an nvme m2 drive so the second one would have to be sata based as the pro 3 doesn't support 2 x nvme.

In which case it honestly doesn't make a difference perfoemance wise.

I'd probably go 2. 5inch simply because it tends to be cheaper and m2 sata disables 2 physical sata ports on the board.

im wondering if anther nvme m.2 2280 would better or a 2.5" ssd.

lookig for 500gb-1tb, my old 250 ssd will just have windows OS, steam, and MSFS2020.

the 2nd ssd will be xtra spacr for other games and files and apps

my motherboard supports 2 nvme, it has two slots atleast.

im worried about heat, and if my mobo/cpu combo has enough lane support to get make sire everything is runnin on pcie 3.0
